China Cycle Shanghai 2019: Home Ground, Global Ambition
There's a particular kind of energy at an exhibition held in your home country. The conversations feel closer. The stakes feel higher. The opportunity to show what you've built — to peers, to partners, to competitors — is immediate and undeniable.
In October 2019, OSKAR-BEBEHUT exhibited at the China International Bicycle & Motor Fair in Shanghai. For a manufacturer headquartered and built in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, Shanghai isn't just a convenient venue. It's a statement of intent.
The Largest Bicycle Trade Platform in Asia
China Cycle is one of the most significant trade events in the global cycling industry — drawing manufacturers, component suppliers, distributors, and international buyers from across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The scale is hard to overstate: hundreds of exhibitors, tens of thousands of visitors, and the full breadth of the global supply chain under one roof.
For OSKAR-BEBEHUT, it's both a trade platform and a proving ground. When you exhibit at China Cycle, you're being evaluated not just by end buyers — but by industry peers who understand manufacturing at every level of detail.
What We Brought
We showcased our full bike trailer range, including our children's 2-in-1 trailer and stroller lineup, our cargo configurations, and our pet trailer series — each representing a different market segment and use case.
A key focus for us at China Cycle 2019 was demonstrating the breadth of our OEM and ODM capability. Several visitors came not as end buyers, but as brands looking to understand our manufacturing depth — our tooling flexibility, our testing infrastructure, our certification support process.
Those are the conversations we value most.
Building the Domestic and International Bridge
China Cycle is a rare environment where domestic Chinese manufacturers meet international trade buyers directly. It's where relationships are formed that later become multi-year OEM agreements.
We met buyers from Japan, Southeast Asia, and North America during the 2019 show — conversations that laid groundwork for partnerships we've built upon since. That's the compounding value of consistent exhibition presence: each year's show builds on the last.
Looking Ahead
2019 was a year of significant outward movement for OSKAR-BEBEHUT — from our Eurobike debut in May to China Cycle in October. It confirmed what we already believed: the market for quality-engineered bike trailers is global, the appetite for reliable OEM partners is strong, and we are well-positioned to serve both.
